ANOTHER BLUEBY BIRTHDAY

Today, Hannah was rather insistent that today was indeed the birthday of her very favorite stuffed bunny "Blueby". Blueby actually has many birthdays throughout the year. I guess bunnies grow up faster than we do. So, Hannah made him this horseshoe cake all by herself today.

Did you see him blowing out his candles??
Blueby came to live with us in a very peculiar way. When Hannah was about 18 months old, her and I tagged along with Kirsten to one of her Girl Scout "Brownies" outings. Her troop went to an assisted living facility to sing songs and play games with the residents. I was walking Hannah up and down the halls in her stroller as she was getting a little restless, when suddenly, an elderly woman popped out of her room and just started chatting away with Hannah. Hannah was rather intrigued by this lady. She then handed to Hannah a stuffed bunny that was the most interesting shade of blue I had ever seen. Hannah immediately hugged that bunny and didn't let go for a very long time. I find it interesting that something can come into your life in a very unexpected way, that finds its way deep into your heart, just like Blueby did.
Happy Birthday Blueby, again.

What a sweet post and a sweet loving Hannah to remember Blueby's birthday!! I will second things or people coming into your life unexpectedly and finding their way deep into your heart! Just ask my baby girl...:) I always remember these things are only unexpected to us. HE knows way in advance and orchestrates each and every one! That little bunny is a precious reminder that even those who don't seem to have much can still touch those they come in contact with! Happy Birthday Blueby. You sound like a special friend...
